Workspace Indexing
Indexing helps the assistant find the right notes across your whole workspace, not just the open file. Choose a level in Settings → Indexing. The Off and Fast levels run entirely on your machine; the Complete level sends note text to the AI provider you connect for it.
- Off — No background preparation. The assistant uses the open document and can still search your files for exact words.
- Fast — Finds notes across the workspace by the words they contain. Fast, private, and always on.
- Complete — Also finds notes by meaning, surfacing related ideas even when they’re worded differently. This level uses a connected AI provider for search.
